How to get people to like your facebook page
Go to your Facebook page and click on the HOME button. Under your picture there are links. You’ll see one for ad’s and pages. Select that and then proceed to next page where you’ll select pages. Then on the next page a button will say “+creat page.” You guessed it, click that. The setup is easy, just follow their instructions. Once you’ve done that, continue below.
Here is what a Page looks like ex: Death and Taxes Page
1. Send out ‘Page suggestion’ to your facebook friends.
There is a simple button that will pop up a window. Select the friends you want to send it to and then hit send and wait. You can also send a personal message to some friends asking them if they can ‘like’ your page and possibly suggest it to some of their friends.
2. Create a Facebook Ad to promote your page.
This is simple to do. But it costs money. I run ad’s for a day. You can turn them off and on any time of the day and set whatever daily budget
you want. You can also determine whether you want to pay per click or pay per 1000 impressions. I usually pay about $ .10 per 1000. Adjust to
you budget and audience.
3. Post facebook link/widget on your blog.
When you are creating your page you’ll notice the getting started tab. In that tab is a link to create a facebook widget for your blog or website. I
suggest doing that. Remember, get as many links out there as possible. If you don’t have a blog, WHY NOT? Start one. I use blogspot because
you can post ad’s w/o them taking a cut like wordpress. Plus, with a blog, you get more exposure through the blog host.
4. Keep updating your page.
Last thing you want to do is create a page, have people like it, and then fall off the face of the Earth. Keep things fresh. People need new things, they need to be tickled, or pet, or outraged everyday. So, stay busy.
5. Create an incentive for people to join.
You can have polls which people always find fun to take. Or offer coupons to your products. Another great way is to hold a contest. People love free stuff, so give it out. Promote the contest on your blog, or site, and give incentive for them to like the page in order to join contest.
6. Make contact with your fans.
When some one joins, send them a message. Keep them intrigued and excited. People want to feel special so, reach out and touch someone.
7. If you have a business card make sure to print all your links.
It’s free space, use it.
8. Don’t spam.
Best way to turn people off or unlike your page is to spam. In other words, don’t post 20 posts a day and 20 status updates a day. People don’t want to see their feed filled with stuff from you. Moderation is key.
9.Post your links in forums and Q&A’s.
Make sure you answer the topics with relevant material. Otherwise you’ll be blocked. First hand experience. And also, don’t over do it. You’ll be blocked for that as well. Maybe one or two posts per day per site.
10. Last, keep doing it.
You have to stay on the ball. Don’t get discouraged. It takes time to build an empire.
If that fails, there’s always ‘Facebook Marketing for Dummies.’

Recommend that you create free websites using Microsoft Office Live Small Business – http://starturl.com/office-live . It has a free online web design tool that allows you to create web pages without coding. You can also upload your own website via its webfolder (activate third-party designer tool). MS is also giving away a free domain name for the first year (i.e. yourdomain.com)
