Interesting question! Common attributes to me are attraction mechanisms and capture mechanisms. In other words, attracting readership and then creating calls to action via responses and subscriptions. Attracting readership is a challenge – your online participation has to be completely oriented towards your target audience. I just started using a company called hubpot.com. They are all about internet marketing and I think they’re redefining it in a way. My site is epaper.hubspot.com .
