Should I Buy From Ebay If They Use Stock Photos?
You’ve found the product that you want, and it’s the right price – but one nagging question keeps running through your head – ‘Should I buy from eBay if they use stock photos?’ It’s a question which many people ask themselves, they’ve heard about people being scammed by rats who pretend to be selling something but just run off with their money, and it puts a tiny doubt into their mind about whether they are about to be the victim of fraud also.
The good news is that in general, buying products from eBay that use stock photos is a perfectly safe thing to do. In fact, the reason that so many people use stock photos is that they are usually a far better job than they could do with their own compact camera, and so to make sure that you see exactly what you are getting – they show you great photos which do the product justice.
As a consumer, its far more important to be able to clearly see in detail exactly what you are buying, rather than looking at a darkened photo that makes you misunderstand your purchase. Take for example if you were looking to buy Air Force JAG license plates; it’s far better for you to be able to get a clear picture of the coloration of the blue, the golden wings and the detail on the logo. In fact, you’d probably feel a lot more confident that you are buying exactly what you want because you’ve seen it in such clear detail.
So why should I buy from eBay if they use stock photos? Well, in the majority of cases it’s because your seller cares enough to provide you with the highest quality service, and that starts from the minute you look at their listing and see what you are buying. Of course, there are still some sellers who are looking to scam victims, but as long as you use PayPal as your payment method and don’t do business with sellers in unreliable countries, then you will be protected from the ‘bad’ sellers who are out there.
Air force jag license plates are just one example of a product where it is nice to see a very detailed shot of your purchase. You will also find stock photos cropping up in other listings, from clothing to homewares, but again, it’s simply because your seller wants to do the best possible job of displaying their products to you, the customer.
Many wholesale suppliers offer these stock photos to retailers as a way to best show the elements of the products. It’s a win-win situation for all involved, as if the customer is happy with what they see, they will make a purchase, which in turn means that the retailer will have to buy more stock from the wholesale supplier.
Buying products which use stock photographs mean that you don’t have to worry that you are buying something that is different to the picture. It cuts out all the ambiguity from a purchase, and gives you a great peace of mind.
