Is your internet connection frustratingly slow? Does it seem like it takes forever for web pages to load? You're not alone.
Slow internet access is one of the most common complaints we've heard from PC users, which is why we added NetBoosterฎ technology to System Mechanic. NetBooster significantly increases speed over any existing connection—even if you don't have a high-speed connection.
How does NetBooster work?
The default settings on your PC are not necessarily the best settings for your specific connection type. System Mechanic's NetBoosterฎ enables the transfer of more data over the web, by automatically tailoring settings to suit your internet connection.
How do I run NetBooster?
Running NetBooster is easy; you just enter a few details about your internet setup and then NetBooster automatically does the rest:
1. From System Mechanic's navigation bar, click Tools and then click Individual Tools.
2. Click Start next to Optimize Internet Settings.
3. Answer a few questions about your internet connection and click Next.
4. System Mechanic will automatically adjust settings to maximize your web speed
More web speed-up tips
Upgrade to the latest version of your web browser. Updates for web browsers often result in speed improvements; make sure you take advantage of these free upgrades and download the latest patches for your browser.
Free up system memory. With more available memory, your web browser can work much more efficiently. Before you start browsing the web, close any programs you're not using.
And another memory booster is System Mechanic's Defragment Memory. Go to Tools > Individual Tools > Increase Performance > Defragment Memory.
(Additionally, recent iolo Labs tests show that defragmenting memory also boosts the time it takes for your PC to start up.)
Run a complete PC tune-up. No matter how fast your connection is, a slow computer is also going to have slow web access. To increase overall PC speed, run System Mechanic's PC Accelerator, which combines all the essential speed-boosting tools into one automated wizard. Go to Tools > Power Tools > PC Accelerator.
