If you have an online or offline business then you are probably trying to get your website to the top of the search engines as quickly as possible. However, if you’re like most then you probably are clueless about how to do this. Today I’m going to share with you a few of the search engine secrets that will get your website high quickly.

The first of the search engine secrets I want to share with you is that it’s not always about your direct website URL. What I mean by that is that  you should use several different methods that will be redirected back to your main website URL. Why do you want to do that? Because the search engines love certain media. For instance, Squidoo Lenses or Blogger Blogs or Articles will always rank higher than your main URL. So, use that to your advantage whenever possible!

Second, another of the search engine secrets that will get you indexed fast is to have “meaty” content on your website that mentions you niche’s keyword throughout. And, this content should be updated regularly in order to make your site dynamic. Dynamic sites are loved by search engines and will improve your rank naturally. So, create RSS feeds or post articles or change photos – whatever you can do to show the search engines that you are alive!

The third search engine secret I’ll share with you today is that quality “backlinks” are a key to getting natural rankings – ESPECIALLY when someone is searching locally for your business. A backlink means that another high ranking site is pointing back to your URL which makes the search engines think you are important. Get enough of these backlinks and your natural search engine ranking will improve within a week’s time. But how?

In order to get quality backlinks you need to visit quality sites. Look for forums that you can visit and post to. Write articles that point back to your main URL. Create Squidoo Lenses that have your URL in them and so on. In fact, everything you write or create on the web should include your main webpage’s URL so that the search engines find it everywhere. This search engine secret is really the key to LONG TERM search engine rankings!

As you can see, these are a few of the search engine secrets to everyone who has a business website. If you search the web you can find other more advanced techniques but if you aren’t at least using these few search engine secrets then you are missing out on a LOT of traffic! Good luck.
