Sell On Ebay on eBay:
10 Tips to Help You Sell on Ebay Successfully
Below you will find 10 simple tips to follow that are good for anyone who wants to sell successfully on eBay.
Tip # 1: Identify your eBay market. Come up with a list of items you are interested in and then take a look at eBay to see what’s selling and what’s not. The data you find from your market research will help you out later on. Analyze the market and you’ll start to see those items that always seem to sell for a good price.
Tip # 2: Check out your competition. Before investing money, take a look at what the other sellers in your category are up to. Dig in to get an idea about what their strategies are. Mark down anything their auctions are missing, because addressing their lack in your auctions is a great way to move in and beat them at their own game.
Tip # 3: Find a product: If you’re looking to sell the same item over and over again then get hold of a supplier for what it is you want to sell, and see what the best rates you can get are. Also, shop around to get the best deal. Every penny counts. If the eBay prices you’ve seen are higher than the supplier’s then you just might have a winner.
Tip 4: Start small: Don’t start out by throwing tons of money at your idea. Start slowly and see what works and what doesn’t; learn as you go. Remember that it doesn’t cost a lot to try out even the craziest ideas on eBay, and who knows, they might just work! Thinking outside the box is a good way to become successful.
Tip 5: Test and repeat. Keep trying different strategies on eBay until you find something that works. Then just keep doing that very same thing over and over again. Now you’ve probably just found a great niche or a great way to sell.
Tip 6: Create your business plan: A business plan, even on eBay, is a good thing to have. It doesn’t need to be anything formal, just a few pages that outline your market opportunity, your strategy, the strengths and weaknesses of the plan and a brief budget. A business plan is more for you than it is for anyone else. If you treat your selling on eBay as a business and not like a hobby then this will push you toward success.
Tip 7: Invest and expand: Now is the time to pump money into your eBay business. Get your hands on more product and start spending more time on your business. Set a goal for the number of sales you want each week and increase it over time as you meet your goals.
Tip 8: Make it official: Once you’ve made some money from your eBay sales, you should seriously consider registering yourself as an “official” business. It’s inexpensive and easy to do, and registering will boost your credibility. A lawyer is the best person to help you through the process, but you can also get information online or in forums.
Tip 9: Automate: There are a lot of tasks you will find yourself doing over and over, like writing the same emails or auction item descriptions. Now is the time to use automated software instead of doing the manual work. You can also consider outsourcing these tasks to other people. You can automate a TON of your eBay business tasks.
Tip 10: Never give up: Even when times get bad and you think things won’t work out, don’t stop trying. Push forward until you succeed. If you keep working at it you’ll almost always find you will make a real breakthrough. Countless people give up on their eBay business right before they get their breakthrough. Don’t be one of them.

3 Steps To Sell Professionally On eBay
eBay is awesome! It gives ordinary men and women, people like you and me the ability to sell their products to a worldwide marketplace 24/7 at a cost of a few cents.
The marketing potential of eBay is huge and so is it’s scope. The first time I surfed eBay I was amazed at the sheer number of different categories. But where do you start?
The key word for step 1 is, therefore, FOCUS.
A scatter gun approach just doesn’t work with eBay. You could spend the rest of your life wandering around its thousands of categories trying to sell a few items here and a few there then moving on when you discover that the competition has driven the price so low you can’t make enough to cover your eBay and PayPal fees, let alone make a profit.
You must zero in on a particular niche: make a list of 10 subjects/themes you enjoy, things you have a passion for then research these subjects on eBay. Is there a market to sell to?
The eBay market place is very transparent, using a ‘completed listings’ advanced search you can see exactly who sells what, how much it sells for and in what quantities, you can even read what the buyers thought about their purchases. Use this information to draw up a short-list of niches where there is a healthy market in something you enjoy or have some expertise in (preferably both).
Don’t be afraid of competition from other sellers – this confirms you are on the right track. See what each seller in your chosen niche does well and copy them –there is nothing wrong in doing this. Don’t spend your time trying to create a market for a product that isn’t already there, this will only lead to frustration and disappointment – a road I have traveled many times!
To sum up …….. FOCUS, identify a niche you enjoy and have some expertise in and follow what other successful sellers do adding in your own ideas to zero in on that HOT eBay product.
Step 2: The right eBay product, What to look for;
Market
There must be an established market for the product. The best way to confirm this is to look for successful sellers who already sell the product. You are looking for a healthy market with multiple buyers and sellers. You should be wary of any market that seems overcrowded with sellers – hundreds of sellers competing against each other will drive the price of the product down making it very difficult for a new entrant to make a profit.
Mark up
Your product must be in sufficient demand to allow a healthy mark up (the difference between your purchase price and your sale price). This mark up must be sufficient to cover all of your costs and provide a satisfactory profit. If possible focus on higher value items, these are more likely to yield a satisfactory profit and you will have a lot less work to do.(It is easier to sell 10 items that yield profit than it is to sell 100 items that only yield profit).
Repeatability
You must be able to replenish your stock of the product to enable a solid, sustainable business to be built. Some eBay guides suggest searching flea markets and boot sales to pick up bargains for resale, you may unearth the odd nugget this way but it is not the basis of a long term business.
To sum up step 2 ……think ‘Market’, ‘Mark up’ and ‘Repeatability’.
Step 3: eBay listing techniques;
You can have a great, in demand product but if it isn’t listed right it won’t sell to its full potential.
your description MUST incorporate ‘AIDA’:
Attention, Interest, Desire, Action
Firstly we need an ATTENTION grabbing headline: ‘Once in a lifetime opportunity to obtain this rare and sought after ******!’ This is a little over the top but you get the idea!
Next we must generate INTEREST by describing the features that make our item so desirable.
The DESIRE for the item is based on benefits and not features. In other words we must convince our buyer that his collection will be enhanced or his family and friends will be impressed by his new acquisition. This is the ‘What’s in it for me?’
Finally we have our ‘call to ACTION!’. Why must our buyer act ‘NOW!’, this minute? Is it the scarcity of our item, with the other eager buyers waiting to snap it up for themselves?
……and it must achieve all of this in 15–20 seconds. If a potential buyer is not given all of the above, quickly, he will click back to his search list and continue his search. If we have done our job properly he will click on ‘watch this item’ before he leaves our page.

Good Things To Sell On eBay – Where and When To Find Good Things To Sell On eBay
Do you want to make lots of money and look for good things to sell on eBay? Perhaps you are planning to set up your own eBay shop, store, sideline e-commerce business or whatever you’d like to call it to sell products and earn large sums of money. This article is here to answer your questions about buying and selling things online for profit and how you can make a lot of money and lowering your risks.
After reading this article I will let you in on a little secret!! That you can learn and apply to your own online business and make huge amounts of profits, I’m talking about selling items that have no cost to purchase, no packaging, no listing fees, no final value fees, no shipping and handling fees and you can absolutely sell for a high price, heck you don’t even have to deal with lost items, and non payers all of that will be handled for you!! So please continue on reading.
Your Question:
What are good things to sell on eBay?
Answer:
Now if you are planning to make a substantial amount of money selling things on eBay there are certain things you need to look at. When thinking of what are good things to sell on eBay of-course you have to look at what people are actually already buying or bidding on.
A simple way to do this is to go to eBay and at least pick a product already and then scroll down to the left side bar and check the box that says show completed listings. This will show you what are the items that are already been sold and how many bids are placed on the item. You can target your items around the number of bids that are available this is an indication that people are buying that product, the higher the number of bids for a certain product the more people are actually looking for that product!! When doing business you are the one that matches the products to the right people. Finding good things to sell on eBay is easy once you understand the concept of supply and demand.
If you are looking to build your own e-commerce business or setting up your own eBay store then I would highly suggest you target the items around a certain particular niche. That way you can continue to sell related products to that niche over and over again.
If you do not know what this means then here is an example! A niche is simply a group of people or a crowd that is normally into a certain particular interest. For example “cat lovers” “cat people” is a particular niche!! now if you were to create an eBay store around that particular niche, you would be selling perhaps cat trees, cat food, cat litter boxes and books on how to take care of your cat. Do you see where I’m going with this? the more you target this particular crowd the better because this gives you the opportunity to sell to the same people, they will trust you and they will keep coming back to you for cat related items. Whats more is that once you have your own website, and people who are interested in the item that you are selling they would more likely buy other things from your store as well.
Another tip for finding good things to sell on eBay is to target seasonal products. Do you think people would most likely buy things that are related to Halloween during Christmas? My tip is that when the season is approaching its good for you to stock up on items that are related to that particular season or event. For example if Halloween is coming up good things to sell on eBay would be Halloween costumes, Halloween accessories, Halloween decorative items and etc. Can you see the where I’m going with this?
